As expected, the mix was met with critical acclaim and showcased the entire scope of Martyn's sonic abilities, wetting appetites for his upcoming second LP. His label 3024 is a genre defying platform for music from the likes of Flying Lotus, 2562, and of course, Martyn himself. Joris Voorn

From his humble beginnings in a small Dutch town, Voorn's rise to superstar DJ status has been a measured process. A big remix here, a quality single there, a beloved mix CD, a fantastic live gig: His is not so much the stuff of legend as it is the stuff of hard work and dedication. Nonetheless, 2009 seemed to be the year when it all exploded. His Balance 014 mix has already gone down as one of the finest in the series, and "Sweep the Floor" swept Ibiza.

Gareth Emery

The young Brit Gareth Emery has enjoyed immense success in his relatively short time in the scene. He has already cracked the top 10 of DJ Mag's annual poll, can be seen at nearly all of the world's major dance events, runs the successful Garuda brand, and presents his Gareth Emery Podcast to worldwide accolades. To say that Gareth is a trance DJ would not do his unique sound justice. It is a style that is, no doubt, rooted in trance but also encompasses everything from techno, electro, and progressive with spacey grooves, thunderous basslines, and harmonic melodies. Now on the cusp of releasing his artist album it seems that the sky is the limit when it comes to the success of Gareth Emery.

Researching each and every project with eagle eyed glee, Tom approaches every venture, from productions to DJ mixes, with the attention to detail that's usually reserved for the likes of architects, surgeons, and engineers. Not to mention a sense of humour.

Paul Kalkbrenner

Berlin-based Paul Kalkbrenner's status as a Techno MVP is cemented by more than 15 years of experience as a producer and live act, starting with the 1999 release of his "Friedrichshain" EP on Bpitch Control (the newly founded label from Ellen Allien), a series of singles and two full-lengths ("Superimpose" and "Time"), plus continuous live performances that threatened to shatter the grid of his calendar. His third abum "Self" (2004) marked his affinity for melodic, grand emotional gestures, and "Gebrünn Gebrünn", released one year later, became a crossover hit. He's also the star and soundtrack composer of the 2008 Berlin Calling, a film about a musician in Techno City during the new millennium, now a cult classic. The soundtrack and especially the single "Sky and Sand" broke all sales records, with the track going gold in Belgium where it remained in the charts' Top Ten for weeks.

Erol Alkan

Raised in north London, Erol Alkan's obsession with music turned professional in his teens. Erol's still getting a bigger rush from the dance floor than anything else. "The time I feel most alive, and the only time I truly feel like myself, is when I'm playing records and giving people a party," he explains with an enormous grin. "And right now, I'm more excited by DJing than I've ever been." In the past few years, since his own decade long weekly club night "Trash" began to attract attention everywhere from Italian Vogue to The Face and from Rolling Stone to Kerrang, Erol's party-starting genius has surged in demand. One night he'll be DJing at an Alexander McQueen catwalk show afterparty in London, with Kate Moss and Sadie Frost shaking their arses down the front, and the next night he'll be playing to a notoriously tough, no-nonsense Belfast crowd, who'll welcome him like a lost son. Erol's list of collaborations and remixes is equally as diverse, having remixed techno and electro hits like Mylo's "Drop the Pressure", Alter Ego's "Rocker", and Justice's "Waters of Nazareth", as well as indie rock hits like Death from Above 1979's "Romantic Rights", Bloc Party's "She’s Hearing Voices", and Franz Ferdinand's "Do You Want To". This democracy of vision led to him winning the Muzik Magazine award for Best Breakthrough DJ in 2002, and was voted 2006 DJ of the Year by the readers of Mixmag.

With proven releases on such labels as Below, Cadenza and Cocoon, and an explosive live show, Reboot has earned every inch of his reputation as a speaker-freaker. His debut on Cadenza, "Be Tougher," was a dark offspring adopted by Luciano on his Fabric 41 mix. Another massive hit for Reboot was the mind-warp of 'Vandong', which blew up as part of his Sidekick EP. Reboot's barrage of booty-shaking beats have spread rapidly around the globe, from Robert-Johnson and Cocoon Club in Germany, to Womb in Japan, D-Edge in Brazil and Fabric in the UK.

Original tracks like "Mars" and "I Think I Like It" hit the top of the dance charts and dominated dance floors, and earned him an episode on BBC Radio 1's legendary Essential Mix show. Richie Hawtin

Artist, DJ, conceptualist and ambassador, more than anyone else in modern electronic music, Richie Hawtin has relentlessly proved himself to be a true innovator. The one-man mogul behind acclaimed Techno imprints Plus 8 & Minus sends signals out all over the world from his HQ in an old fire station in Windsor, Ontario - just across the border from Detroit Techno City. The signals are constantly evolving, his Plastikman persona gave Techno a unique face with a series of four ruthlessly minimal albums of skeletal beauty, while breathtaking festival live sets at Glastonbury and Tribal Gathering helped invent stadium Techno. His "Decks, EFX & 909" album released on novamute in 1999 expanded the concept of a DJ mix album beyond the imagination of most DJs. We can't wait to see this living legend return to Electric Zoo.

The Chemical Brothers are set to release their seventh studio album, Further, on June 22, 2010 on Freestyle Dust/ Astralwerks. This album is the band's first to be released with corresponding films made specifically to match each of the 8 audio tracks. The films will be included on an iTunes LP and special edition DVD.

As well as an eight-track album, Further is the band's first proper partnership with long-time visuals collaborators Adam Smith and Marcus Lyall. Visuals for Further have been created to correspond with each track on the album and have been planned during the recording of the record.

Nearly three years on from the release of their GRAMMY® Award winning and fifth consecutive UK Number 1 album We Are The Night, Further is the culmination of nearly two decades of psychedelic exploration, an immersive collection that finds The Chemical Brothers at their least-restrained and most-melodic best.

We're honored to have them headline Electric Zoo 2010.

Adultnapper

"Adultnapper" is a shadowy figure drawn from the dark reaches of Francis Harris' imagination. Harris, a philosophy Ph.D. drop‐out with punk rocker roots, hails from suburban Las Vegas but has called Brooklyn home for the past 9 years - a stretch in which he has gone from "hating dance music," to establishing himself as an underground DJ/Producer with a unique sound and a global audience. Relying primarily on the ancient art of mixing two records, Harris' precision skills and thoughtful programming have earned him a reputation as DJ equal to his regard as producer - an uncommon distinction. On the decks, Harris intricately weaves divergent strains into a thick, pumping groove that subtly rises and falls, drawing the crowd ever deeper within his emotion-laden, melodic journey.

Dixon

The multi talented, multi tasking Dixon earned his stripes from the underground dance scene of Berlin during the early 90's. He began in an era where picky club goers attended their favorite clubs knowing its residents would bring the goods night in and night out. His sets have long been known to start slow and unfold towards a peak, then another and another in order to find the exact point from which the crowd gains that lasting experience. Now, he is a globetrotting ambassador of everything techno, deep house, and beyond. Dixon is also the accomplished head of the renowned label Innervisions, which created along with Âme to bring the sounds of deep, soulful and sexy house back to light in a world made up of minimal sounds.

Grum

Grum's rise to musical prominence went like this: not long after he produced his first track, The Hype Machine calculated he was the second most blogged act in the world (behind Radiohead). Grum grew up amidst Scotland's fascination for techno and trance, and also became massively influenced by Daft Punk, The Human League and Stuart Price. The result is what he calls "a real mash-up of French house, Italo-disco, new-wave, and soft rock." Features on leading electronic music blogs like Discodust earned him remixes for Late of the Pier, Anorak, and Tronik Youth. His blissful, bass-heavy first single "Runaway" was picked up by Aeroplane for their Mixmag covermount CD and featured on the play-lists of Pete Tong, Zane Lowe and Annie Mac. His second single, the infectious and driving "Sound Reaction," is "a mixture of rave and electro with a hint of disco." Perfect for Electric Zoo!

Jon is known to transcend the traditional parameters of electronic music, drawing influence from his classical piano upbringing, as well as is early experimentations with four track tape recorders and old school computer programs. His two albums "Opalescent" and "Contact Note" draw upon this influence while remaining distinctly different in their scope, leading up to the spring release of his latest LP "Insides". Dusty Kid

DUSTY KID (aka Paolo Alberto Lodde) was born in the first half of the decade of the 80's. As a new "enfant prodige" he immediately showed his natural attitude for the variegated "music world". At 10, after just one year of private lessons of the basic notions of piano and violin, he was admitted directly to the 6th year of the piano course in the conservatory of his native city. Following the accademic experience, his tasks moved gradually from the austere classical world to the electronic system, free from binds and traditional old-fashioned diktats. DUSTY KID started to manipulate synthesizers, samplers and sequencers, and he realized that one passion was growing and growing: the ardor for arranging and producing his own compositions. He released his first single "I Found A Reason" at 19 on the English label Lowered Recordings, and then he produced various singles and remixes for Mutiny UK, Robbie Rivera and Trinity Hi-Fi. The first official single under the aegis of the pseudonym DUSTY KID was "The Summer of Love".

But it's during 2004 that Dusty Kid creates the project Duoteque with DJ Andrea Ferlin and releases numerous EPs on Boxer Recordings and the tracks were immediately included in the DJ sets of some of the most important names, like Richie Hawtin, Tiefschwarz, Ricardo Villalobos, Domenic  Eulberg, Sven Vath and Magda.

After the Duoteque experience Paolo decides to take his own way and to release his own productions as DUSTY KID.

My Feelings For You (ft Sebastien Drums) TOPPED the GENERAL Beatport TOP 100 Charts one week after release, going past Swedish House Mafia, Dirty South, Pharell Williams & Armand van Helden as well as Tiesto & Diplo,  pushing Deadmau5 off the top position. This means it is our second number 1 in one month.

He has confirmed 10 shows in Ibiza already, where Avicii is main opening act for Tiësto at Privilege throughout the summer and supporting the Swedish House Mafia night during Radio 1 weekend on August 9.

Avicii was named Breakthrough producer/DJ of 2009 in, among other polls (Cuepoint.TV and the French magazine OnlyForDJ's), DJ Mag's Top100 issue by none other than Tiësto, Laidback Luke and Dirty South. More recently, Avicii's work has included remixes for Tiësto, Bob Sinclar, Alex Gaudino, Dizzee Rascal, Sophie Ellis Baxter, Little Boots and David Guetta. The reach, impact and interest in Avicii, more than any other producer right now, was ultimately cemented in April when Bromance entered the Beatport Top 100 at #2 and rose within almost 24 hours to the top slot.

The Glitch Mob

Selling out major venues from coast to coast simply by word of mouth, The Glitch Mob has become a festival favorite, rocking crowds from Lollapalooza to Red Rocks to upcoming key slots at Coachella and Ultra with their visceral, innovative performances. "Pairing the richness and headiness of the best dance music with the head-nodding backbeats of hip-hop, they only aim to move you, and they by and large succeed," raved the Los Angeles Times. And this spring, the L.A.-based trio embarks on their first full nationwide tour in support of The Glitch Mob's debut album release Drink The Sea, due May 25 on the band's own Glass Air label. Drink The Sea represents The Glitch Mob's transformation up from the underground into a more widescreen vision: from the cryptic cover art (courtesy Sonny Kay, famed for his work with Mars Volta) to the kaleidoscopic dimension of the music inside, Drink The Sea evokes a voyage into the unexpected—including sonic waters previously unexplored by the band itself.

Wolfgang Gartner

Like the famous Wolfgangs before him, Wolfgang Gartner was destined for greatness. In less than three years, he's had eight #1 tracks on Beatport (including the site's best-selling track of 2009) and remixes for A-list artists (Black Eyed Peas, Timbaland, Britney Spears), all lauded by David Guetta, Tiësto, and Pete Tong. His ability to create smash tracks like "Undertaker" and "Firepower" comes from his well-trained ear (he studied classical and jazz piano), particularly attuned to harmony. He has also played before thousands at events like Coachella and Ultra Music Festival. Gartner is meticulous in his approach to crafting new tracks in the studio, contemplating how they'll sound in different venues and new ways to pitch curveballs at the dance music cognoscenti - without using gratuitous gimmicks. And another thing is certain: between his commitment to the integrity of the music and experimentation, Gartner's next move is always a surprise.

A-Trak

A-Trak, aka Alain Macklovitch, began his career at age 15 when he won the 1997 DMC World Championships and proceeded to take home every other DJ title known to man. He then toured the globe, first alongside Q-Bert's Invisibl Skratch Piklz, and then with Craze and the Allies. In 2004, he was hand-picked by Kanye West to be his tour DJ and in 2007 he founded Fool's Gold Records, with a mission to merge all aspects of club music. As well as DJing all over the world and setting up a record label he has offered up signature remixes (for, amongst others, Boys Noize and Simian Mobile Disco), original tracks (Say Whoa produced for Nike and released on Kitsune) and a collaboration with Laidback Luke (Shake It Down). Last year A-Trak created two critically acclaimed pace-setting DJ mixes for US dance music giants Thrive (Infinity +1) and UK stalwarts Fabric (Fabric Live 45) and most recently he made his mark on the pop world through his 'Duck Sauce' collaboration with Armand Van Helden, releasing 'aNYway', which hit the UK's top twenty this month.

After years of scratching, accumulating air miles and dressing smart, A-Trak has finally become the man to call to make the kids dance. Next year he will release his debut album, ask him and he'll tell you that this is the moment he's been waiting for his whole career. Lucky for us, we'll be getting a taste of the glory when A-Trak makes his Electric Zoo debut this year!

John Digweed is the very embodiment of a "DJ's DJ". He is a globetrotting performer, successful label owner, forward thinking producer, and all around dance music icon. On any given day he can regularly be seen headlining the world's premier clubs and festivals, sometimes visiting places where no other DJ had ever played before. His two decade career can only be described as groundbreaking. With successful mix compilations on Renaissance, Global Underground and Fabric, beloved residencies, classic studio production, and a million+ followed radio show, the name John Digweed brings immediate association with dance music of the highest quality. And we're honored to have the chance to experience it at his Electric Zoo debut this year.

Bassnectar

What started back in the mid-nineties as an experiment fusing youth culture and social action has turned into a multi-faceted, multi-faced creature called Bassnectar. It is the brainchild of Lorin Ashton, and it exists as an open-sourced musical project that is as diverse as it is heavy, as raw as it is meticulous, and as fierce as it is imaginary. Bassnectar combines sound and force with weight while spanning the spectrum of sonic style, covering every genre imaginable, and smashing it all into a collision of intense, wobbling basslines, hypnotic soundscapes, and pretty much anything that strikes his fancy. He calls the end product "omnitempo maximalism," which basically means no rules, no limitations, and no hesitation in fusing the familiar with the strange or the classic with the cutting edge. It's only natural that he's one of our headliners at Electric Zoo 2010!
