Diplo is known internationally as a curator amongst the world's most cutting edge DJs, producers, and musical movements. His highly acclaimed futuristic dancehall album "Guns Don't Kill People... Lazers Do," released with Switch as Major Lazer, hit number 7 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Chart. In 2008, he earned a Record of the Year Grammy nomination for his work on M.I.A.'s mega-hit "Paper Planes;" he has also produced for Santigold, Lil' Jon and Missy Elliot, and remixed works by Beck, Radiohead, Britney Spears and countless others. His record label Mad Decent has helped to introduce Brazilian baile funk, Angolan Kuduro and other marginalized music to clubs around the world. Some of the varied acts he has signed or produced include Rye Rye, Bonde do Role and Crookers.
